It is completely normal to ask, "What happens now?"
This page is here to help guide you through those first steps: what it means to follow Jesus, how to grow in your faith, and what to expect as you begin this journey with Jesus. Whether this is all brand new or you have been around church for a while, this resource is designed to help you lay a strong foundation for your faith and walk with confidence into all God has for you.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
2 Corinthians 5:17
Welcome to your new life in Christ
You have taken the first step of faith by saying "yes" to Jesus, and it is just the beginning. As you get started on this journey, you may have questions, doubts, or a mix of emotions. That is normal. God is not asking you to have it all figured out; He is inviting you to walk with Him, step by step, as He makes you new. The truths below will help anchor you in what the Bible says about being a Christ-follower, and what you can expect as you grow in your relationship with Him.
Identity
In Christ, you have spiritually been made new. You've been adopted into God's family, where you're fully forgiven and deeply loved. This means you're no longer defined by your past!
Growth
Deciding to follow Jesus begins a daily journey of transformation, as the Holy Spirit reshapes your heart, desires, and purpose. This takes time, so be patient with yourself.
Community
God designed you to grow in your faith through meaningful relationships with other believers who encourage, challenge, and walk with you. It is time to get into community!
Challenges
Choosing to follow Jesus does not mean life gets easier, but it does give you a steady hope and peace to hold onto, no matter what you face in life.
Purpose
Salvation is not just about going to Heaven one day. You have an assignment: to bring God's message of love, truth, and hope to everyone around you.
