Faith Over Fear
Fear can creep in through movies, social media, or even everyday experiences. But when fear feels overwhelming, God’s promises remind us we’re never alone:
“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” Psalms 145:18
Helping our kids face fear isn’t about dismissing it. It’s about giving them tools anchored in God’s truth. Here are a few ways you can help them build faith over fear:
- Pray together in the moment. When fear shows up, pause and pray out loud. It reminds them that God is with them right where they are.
- Speak truth over fear. Find a verse — like Psalms 145:18 — and say it together until it sinks in.
- Model courage. Share times when you’ve faced your own fears and how God gave you peace.
- Find community. Fear grows in isolation, but faith grows in connection. Every Sunday in eKidz and every Sunday and Wednesday in YTH, your kids will find friends and leaders who remind them they’re never alone.
When kids learn how to bring their fears to God, their faith grows stronger than their fear.
