This week at YTH Night :: In the Stable

This week at YTH Night, we’re looking at what it really means that Jesus, the Son of God, was born in a stable. He didn’t choose comfort or status. He chose the lowest place.

From the very beginning, Jesus was showing us what generosity looks like — giving up what He could’ve held onto so we could receive what we never could’ve earned.

Jesus didn’t come to get. He came to give.

His time. His love. His life.

And that same kind of generosity starts in us — not on a wishlist, but in a willing heart.

Here are a few ways you can help your student live out this week’s message:

• Read Luke 2:1-7 together. Talk about what stands out to you in the story of Jesus’ birth.

• Ask: Why do you think Jesus chose to enter the world in such a humble way, and what does that show us about His generosity?

• Reflect: What’s one way you can give this week (e.g., your time, your attention, your kindness, etc.) in a way that reflects the heart of Jesus, who chose the lowest place?
