Walking with You as You Walk with Your Student
Research from Sticky Faith says it best: parents are the number one influence on their kids’ faith — more than pastors, youth leaders, or even friends. In fact, 83% of kids say their parents are their top role model for values and beliefs. And when churches and parents partner together, students are twice as likely to stay engaged in their faith after high school.
That’s why your role matters so much — and why our church is committed to walking alongside you.
A New Name, Same Heart
If your student came home talking about YTH Collective, here’s the inside scoop. What was once known as Rhythm Night launched this fall with a new identity: YTH Collective.
The heart hasn’t changed — just the name. A few times each year, Elevation YTH from every campus will gather together as one to worship, connect, and grow. These collective nights are powerful. But as meaningful as those moments are, what happens in your home has even greater influence. Faith practices at home are the strongest predictor of lifelong faith.
Creating Space for Conversation
The good news? You don’t have to be an expert to lead faith conversations with your student. Sometimes, all it takes is a few simple questions after an event like YTH Collective. Try asking:
What’s one takeaway from the message that stuck with you?
How did worship impact you tonight?
Who’s one person you connected with that you didn’t know before?
The goal isn’t to ask the “perfect” question — it’s simply to create space for your student to share what God is teaching them. Every conversation has the opportunity to plant a seed for lifelong faith.
