What We Are Learning In Babies :: August Week One

We’re Learning… God gave us the Bible.
Bible Story: God Gave Us His Word ● Ephesians 4:32; Hebrews 13:16; and John 14:15

As a family, read “God Gave Us His Word” (Ephesians 4:32, Hebrews 13:16, and John 14:15) from the Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.) 

After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.

Seek and Find activity:

Supplies Needed: a Bible

• Say, “God gave us His Word, the Bible. When we learn God’s Word, we are hiding it in our hearts, and it will help us every day. I’m going to hide the Bible somewhere in this room, and I want you to find it.”

• Grab a Bible and place it somewhere in the room where your toddler can easily find it.

• Help your toddler look for the Bible, and encourage them to point to it when they see it.

• After they’ve found it, hide it again, and continue playing for as long as they’re interested.

• After the activity, say, “Great job! Who gave us the Bible?” Encourage your toddler to say, “God gave us the Bible!” Then lead your toddler in prayer:

“Dear God, thank You for giving us the Bible. Please help us remember to read Your Word so we always know how much You love us. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
