What We Are Learning In Babies :: March Week 1
We’re Learning… I can pray to God.
Bible Story: Daniel and the Lions ● Daniel 6
As a family, read “Daniel and the Lions” in Daniel 6 from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.
Coloring Activity:
Activity Supplies: Coloring page, crayons
Prep Instructions: Print the coloring page on regular paper and set the crayons out.
Say, “Let’s color this picture to help us remember we can pray to God!”
Encourage your toddler to decorate the picture. When they finish, ask:
“Who do you see on the page?” (Daniel)
“Daniel loved God and prayed to Him. Can you pray to God too?” (yes)
After the activity, say, “Great job! Who can pray to God?” and encourage your toddler to say, “I can pray to God!”
Then lead your toddler in prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for loving us! We’re so thankful You hear our prayers. Please help us remember we can pray and talk to You anytime, anywhere. We love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚
In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “First I Say a Prayer” by Crystal Bowman and Teri McKinley. If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
