August 3, 2025
24min. read
eKidz

Scripture: John 1:1, 14
Focus: The Bible is divinely inspired and trustworthy.
Bottom Line: You can trust the Bible because it’s God’s Word. Every part of scripture is God-breathed and has power for their lives today.
Application: Trust and begin to engage with the Bible daily.

In this week’s lesson, kids discover the Bible isn’t just a book — it’s God’s voice written for us. We’ll learn Jesus is the Word made flesh, bringing the truth of scripture to life. Through John’s words, we are invited to see Jesus as the living expression of God’s truth.

💬 Family discussion questions:

  1. What do you think it means that Jesus is the Word?

  2. Can you think of something the Bible teaches that helps you today?

  3. What’s one way you could start reading or listening to the Bible every day, even if it’s just for a few minutes?

🕰️ Engage in everyday moments together this week:

  • Morning Time: As your child starts their day, say: “God’s Word is true and powerful. Let’s trust it today!”

  • Mealtime: Ask, “What’s one thing you’ve read or heard from the Bible that stuck with you?”

  • Drive Time: Listen to worship music together and talk about how songs can remind us of God’s truth.

  • Bedtime: Read John 1:1 and 1:14 aloud together, and talk about what it means that Jesus is the Word.
