March Overview: Jesus’ miracles weren’t just amazing moments — they showed who He is, revealing His greatness and power.

As a family, read “The Big Catch of Fish” (Luke 5:1-8) together. Then, watch this week’s lesson video on the eKidz Online YouTube page to continue the conversation.

Bible Story: The Big Catch of Fish (Luke 5:1-8)
Big Idea: Jesus is greater than our problems.
Memory Verse: “Lord, there is no one like you! You are great, and your name is full of power.” Jeremiah 10:6 (NLT)

This week, kids learned about some fishermen who worked all night and caught nothing. That was a big problem! But when Jesus told them to try again, they obeyed — and their nets were suddenly overflowing with fish. This story reminds us that even when problems feel frustrating or impossible, Jesus sees what we can’t see. He has power over every situation, and we can trust Him to guide us.

💬 Family discussion questions:

  1. How do you think the fishermen felt after catching nothing all night?

  2. Why do you think they listened to Jesus when He told them to try one more time?

  3. What is a problem you’re facing that you can trust Jesus with?

🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:

  • When You Get Up: Say, “Whatever problem you face today, Jesus is greater.”

  • While You’re At Home: Share about a time God helped you through a problem.

  • As You’re On The Way: Talk about ways we can listen to Jesus. (e.g., reading our Bibles, praying, listening to worship music, etc.)

  • When You Lie Down: Pray, “Jesus, thank You that You are greater than our problems. Help us trust you when we face problems we don’t know how to solve.”
