March Overview: Jesus’ miracles weren’t just amazing moments — they showed who He is, revealing His greatness and power.

As a family, read “Jesus Heals the Centurion’s Servant” (Matthew 8:5-13) together. Then, watch this week’s lesson video on the eKidz Online YouTube page to continue the conversation.

Bible Story: Jesus Heals the Centurion’s Servant (Matthew 8:5-13)
Big Idea: Jesus is greater than our needs.
Memory Verse: “Lord, there is no one like you! You are great, and your name is full of power.” Jeremiah 10:6 (NLT)

This week, kids heard about a Roman officer who asked Jesus to heal his servant. The centurion believed Jesus had so much authority that He could heal with just a word — and that’s exactly what happened. This story shows us that Jesus has power and authority over every need. Nothing is too big or too small to bring to Him.

💬 Family discussion questions:

  1. Why do you think the centurion asked Jesus for help even though he was a Roman soldier? (The Romans and Israelites didn’t get along.)

  2. What stands out to you about the way Jesus responded to the centurion?

  3. What is something you need that you can pray to Jesus about?

🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:

  • When You Get Up: Remind your kid, “You can bring every need to Jesus today.”

  • While You’re At Home: Make a short prayer list together as a family of needs you want to bring to Jesus.

  • As You’re On The Way: Talk about needs Jesus has met for you or your family before.

  • When You Lie Down: Pray, “Jesus, thank You that You are greater than our needs. Help us bring them to You and trust that You will help us with them.”
