What We Are Learning In Elementary :: November Week 2
Theme: God is Generous
Memory Verse: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7
This November, our elementary kids are learning that God is generous! During a season of gratitude and giving, kids will discover that because God is generous, we can live a lifestyle of generosity too.

Scripture: Mark 12:41-44 (The Widow’s Offering)
Focus: God values our heart more than the size of our gift. Even small gifts can make a big difference when given to God.
Bottom Line: What I give matters to God.
Application: I can give in many ways — money, time, kindness, or encouragement — and God can use it to bless others.
In this week’s lesson, kids will learn that God sees and celebrates generous hearts, no matter how big or small the gift.
💬 Family discussion questions:
Why did Jesus celebrate the widow’s gift?
What are some ways (besides money) you can give this week?
Who is someone we can bless with a simple act of generosity?
🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:
Morning Time: Tell your child while they’re getting ready for the day, “What you give, even small things, matters to God.”
Mealtime: Share a time a small act made a big difference for you.
Drive Time: Talk about some ways you could give away spare change or use it to help someone.
Bedtime: Pray, “God, help us give what we can and trust You to do something special with it.”
