Theme: God is Generous
Memory Verse: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

This November, our elementary kids are learning that God is generous! During a season of gratitude and giving, kids will discover that because God is generous, we can live a lifestyle of generosity too.

To view this week’s curriculum video, visit the eKidz Online YouTube page.

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:7

Focus: Generosity isn’t only about what we give — it’s about how we give. God gives joyfully, and He loves when we give the same way.

Bottom Line: I can give with a happy heart.

Application: I can show God’s love by giving cheerfully, not out of pressure, but out of joy.

In this week’s lesson, kids will learn that cheerful giving reflects God’s heart and brings joy to givers and receivers.

💬 Family discussion questions:

  1. What does it look like to give with a “happy heart”?

  2. When have you felt joy while giving to someone else?

  3. How can our family make generosity fun this week?

🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:

  • Morning Time: While getting ready for the day, say, “Let’s find ways to give with happy hearts today!”

  • Mealtime: Share something you enjoy giving. (e.g., time, help, encouragement, etc.)

  • Drive Time: Brainstorm a cheerful surprise you can do for someone. (e.g., baking cookies for an elderly neighbor, visiting a sick family member, running an errand for a busy parent, etc.)

  • Bedtime: Pray, “God, help us to give with cheerful hearts.”
