What We Are Learning In Preschool :: December Week 2
This Week in Preschool :: Jesus is the best gift.
Main Point: God gave us Jesus.
Bible Story: Jesus Is Born ● Luke 2:1–7
As a family, read “Jesus Is Born” (Luke 2:1–7) from the Bible. CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.
After reading the Bible story, discuss these questions together:
What happened in the Bible story? (Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem. They found a stable, and that’s where baby Jesus was born. Mary wrapped Him in cloth and laid Him in a manger.)
Jesus is God’s Son! How do we know God loves us? (God loves us so much He gave us Jesus!)
This week, engage in everyday moments to continue the conversation:
Morning Time: When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say, “Good morning, (child’s name)! I love you, and God loves you. God loves us so much He gave us Jesus!”
Cuddle Time: Cuddle with your child and pray, “God, Christmas is a special time to give gifts. Please help us remember that You already gave us the best gift, Jesus. Thank You for Jesus!”
Bath Time: Let your child help decorate the bathroom with Christmas items. Say, “Christmas is when we celebrate God gave us Jesus. Decorations help us celebrate Jesus!”
Drive Time: While on the go, look for squares (many presents are square-shaped). Say, “At Christmas, we celebrate God gave us Jesus. He is the best gift!”
