March Overview: Jesus did big, amazing things because He is God’s Son! He is powerful, and He loves us so much. This month, preschoolers will hear true stories from the Bible to learn about how great Jesus is!

As a family, read Jesus Heals the Centurion’s Servant (Matthew 8:5–13) together. Then, watch this week’s lesson video on the eKidz Online YouTube page to continue the conversation.

Bible Story: Jesus Heals the Centurion’s Servant (Matthew 8:5–13)
Main Point: Jesus is great, and He helps us.
Memory Verse: “Lord, there is no one like you! You are great, and your name is full of power.” Jeremiah 10:6 (NLT)

This week, children heard about a Roman officer who asked Jesus to heal his friend. The centurion believed Jesus could heal with just one word, and that’s exactly what happened. This story shows kids that Jesus is powerful and nothing is too big or too small — Jesus is great, and He can help us!

💬 Family discussion questions:

  1. What happened in the Bible story? (A centurion asked Jesus to help his servant who was very sick. Jesus helped the servant, and he got better.)

  2. What does this Bible story teach us? (Jesus saw the centurion needed help, and He helped him. This shows us that Jesus is great, and He helps us too!)

🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:

  • When You Get Up: When your child wakes up, say, “Good morning! If you need help today, remember Jesus is great and He helps you. You can always pray and ask Him to help you!”

  • While You’re At Home: When your child needs help (e.g., tying shoes, reaching something, cleaning up, etc.) help them and say, “I’m helping you, but Jesus is an even greater helper. Remember, Jesus is great, and He helps us!”

  • As You’re On The Way: As you drive or walk, talk about people who help you, like teachers, doctors, or family members. Say, “God gives us helpers, and Jesus is the greatest helper of all.”

  • When You Lie Down: At bedtime, ask your child, “Did you need help with anything today?” and remind them next time they need help, they can pray and ask Jesus to help them! Then pray together, “Dear Jesus, thank You for being so great. Thank You for helping us when we need it. Please help us remember You are always with us. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”
