What We Are Learning In Preschool :: March Week 4
March Overview: Jesus did big, amazing things because He is God’s Son! He is powerful, and He loves us so much. This month, preschoolers will hear true stories from the Bible to learn about how great Jesus is!
As a family, read Jesus Heals a Sick Boy (John 4:46–54) together. Then, watch this week’s lesson video on the eKidz Online YouTube page to continue the conversation.
Bible Story: Jesus Heals a Sick Boy (John 4:46–54)
Main Point: Jesus is great, and He cares about us.
Memory Verse: “Lord, there is no one like you! You are great, and your name is full of power.” Jeremiah 10:6 (NLT)
This week, children learned about a father who needed help for his son. Jesus responded with compassion and power. This story helps us see that Jesus cares about us, and He has the power to help us.
💬 Family discussion questions:
What happened in the Bible story? (A father went to Jesus because his son was very sick. When the father got home, his son was healed!)
What does this Bible story teach us? (Jesus cared about the father and his sick son, and He helped them .This shows us that Jesus is great, and He cares about us too!)
🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:
When You Get Up: When your child wakes up, say, “Good morning! Jesus cares about you so much, and He is with you today.”
While You’re At Home: During a quiet moment, ask your child how they’re feeling. Then say, “Jesus cares about how you feel. Jesus is great, and He cares about you.”
As You’re On The Way: As you ride or walk, point out places where people go for help like a doctor’s office, a hospital, or a school. Say, “People go to these places when they need help. Jesus cares about us and helps us too!”
When You Lie Down: At bedtime, pray with your child, “Dear Jesus, thank You for being so great. Thank You for caring about us and loving us so much. Please help us remember You are always with us. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”
