What We Are Learning In Preschool :: March Week 5
March Overview: Jesus did big, amazing things because He is God’s Son! He is powerful, and He loves us so much. This month, preschoolers will hear true stories from the Bible to learn about how great Jesus is!
As a family, read Matthew 21:1–11 (Palm Sunday) together. Then, watch this week’s lesson video on the eKidz Online YouTube page to continue the conversation.
Bible Story: Matthew 21:1–11 (Palm Sunday)
Main Point: Jesus is great, and He is our King.
Memory Verse: “Lord, there is no one like you! You are great, and your name is full of power.” Jeremiah 10:6 (NLT)
This week, children celebrated Palm Sunday and learned how Jesus rode into Jerusalem. The crowds cheered because they believed He was the promised King. This story reminds us that Jesus is great, and He is our King! We can praise and celebrate Him too!
💬 Family discussion questions:
What happened in the Bible story? (Jesus rode into the city on a donkey. The people waved palm branches and praised Him.)
What does this Bible story teach us? (The people praised Jesus because He is special and important. This reminds us that Jesus is great, and He is our King!)
🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:
When You Get Up: When your child wakes up, say, “Good morning! Remember, Jesus is our King. Let’s look for ways to celebrate Him today!”
While You’re At Home: Sing a worship song together, or say, “Thank You, Jesus!” Then explain, “We praise Jesus because He is great and He is our King.”
As You’re On The Way: As you ride or walk, encourage your child to clap their hands or wave like the people did in the Bible story. Say, “The people praised Jesus because He is King, and we can praise Him too!”
When You Lie Down: At bedtime, list things you want to thank Jesus for. Then pray together, “Dear Jesus, thank You for being our King. Thank You for loving us and being so great. Please help us praise You every day. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”
