What We Are Learning In Preschool :: May Week 4
May Overview: The Bible teaches us how to care for others. In the Bible, we see God’s people — and Jesus — showing care by praying, helping, forgiving, sharing, and inviting others. This month, preschoolers will learn we can care for others too!
Bible Story: Boaz Shares with Ruth (Ruth 2:5-9)
Main Point: I can care for others by sharing.
Memory Verse: “Be kind and compassionate to one another.” Ephesians 4:32a
As a family, read the Bible story together. Then, watch this week’s lesson video on the eKidz Online YouTube page to continue the conversation.
This week, children heard how Ruth needed food, and Boaz chose to share what he had with her. This story teaches us we can care for others by sharing what we have.

When You Get Up: Say, “Good morning! Let’s think of something we can share today.”
While You’re At Home: Practice sharing toys or snacks together.
As You’re On The Way: Talk about ways to share with others.
When You Lie Down: At bedtime, remind your child, “We can care for others by sharing.” Then pray together, “Dear God, thank You for giving us what we need. Help us share with others and be kind with what we have. Thank You for loving us. We love You. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”
