Bible Story: David Praises God ● 2 Samuel 6:12–15; Psalm 144:9–10

After reading the Bible story, discuss these questions together:

• What happened in the Bible story? (David danced, sang, and played music to praise God. He praised God with all his heart.)

• We can thank God for everything when we praise Him. Can you praise God? (yes)

This week, engage in everyday moments to continue the conversation: 

• Morning Time: When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say, “Good morning, (child’s name)! Before we get up, let’s thank God for anything we want because we can thank God for everything! Thank You, God, for (take turns naming things).”

• Cuddle Time: Cuddle with your child and pray, “God, we praise You because You are awesome! You are the one true God who made everything, so we thank You for everything!”

• Bath Time: Add preschool praise music, plastic containers, and spoons to bath time. Let your child make “drums” and play along to the music. As they play, remind them how David praised God with all his might!

• Drive Time: Say this month’s memory verse together: “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.” (Psalm 111:1)
