What We Are Learning In Preschool :: October Week 1
This Week In Preschool :: I can pray and be brave.
Main point: I can pray and be brave.
Bible story: Esther ● Esther 2:2 – 8:17
As a family, read “Esther (Esther 2:2 – 8:17) from the Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, discuss these questions together:
What happened in the Bible story? (Esther was chosen to be queen. Haman tricked King Xerxes into making a law that would hurt God’s people.)
Esther prayed, and God helped her be brave. Who can help you be brave? (God)
This week, engage in everyday moments to continue the conversation:
Morning Time: When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say, “Good morning, super (child’s name)! It’s time to wake up and be strong and courageous!”
Cuddle Time: Cuddle with your child and pray, “God, thank You for making (child’s name) to be brave. I pray that whenever they are afraid, they will pray to You so You can help them be brave.”
Bath Time: Add superhero and helper toys to bath time. As they play, talk about how God helps us be brave super kids who can help others.
Drive Time: Talk about things you pray to God about (e.g., friends, family, meals, etc.). Then remind your child they can also pray and ask God to help them be brave.
