What We Are Learning In Preschool :: October Week 2
October Overview: This month, preschoolers will learn God is good all the time. Because God is good, we can always say, "Thank You!" Thankfulness is more than words — it's a way to respond to God's goodness.
Bible Story: The Songs of Moses and Miriam (Exodus 14-15)
Main Point: Because God is good, I can sing to Him.
Memory Verse: "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalm 107:1

This week, children learned God rescued the Israelites by making a way for them to walk through the sea on dry ground. When they were safe, Moses and Miriam remembered what God had done and sang to Him! We can sing to God with thankful hearts because He is good to us too.

How did God help His people when they were trapped by the sea? What did Moses and Miriam do after God rescued them?
What is something good God has done that you want to sing and thank Him for?
🕰 Engage in everyday moments together this week:
When You Get Up: Start your morning by singing a favorite song about God together. Remind your child, "Because God is good, we can sing to Him!"
While You’re At Home: Have a family praise party! Turn on a worship song, and sing, dance, or clap together. When the song ends, name one reason you're thankful for God.
As You’re On The Way: Take turns making up simple songs to God about things you're thankful for. Try singing, "Thank You, God, for _____!"
When You Lie Down: Ask, "What’s something good God did for you today?" After your child answers, say, "Thank You, God" together before you pray.
