Ladies Night

an invite FROM pastor HOLLY

It’s now easier than ever to enhance or filter the way God created us. We can add a quality we wish we had, change to be like someone we’ve seen, and hide what we view as flaws.

But when we filter the version of ourselves that we show to the world, we not only miss out on true relationship, we are actually training ourselves to think that we’re not good enough without those filters.

Reflect will be in-person at all of our locations. The best way to build friendships is to connect with the women in your community. If you’re a part of eFam, we will provide you with everything you need to be a part of the night.

We’ll worship together, hear a powerful word from Pastor Holly Furtick, and have some fun while we're at it.

"When I moved, I thought I was going to have this family to come back to. Instead, I was left with this aching. I felt like I didn't have anybody."

Through a cross-country move and a painful divorce, Carrie felt that God was calling her to something new. God used church to give Carrie hope and belonging. Carrie first visited Elevation Lake Norman after an invitation from a friend. She decided that day to make it her church home. Within a month, she was volunteering and leading an eGroup. Through her divorce, her church family reminded her that she was not alone.

Carrie has led her eGroup for 4 years, met her best friend there, and saw many in her group also become leaders in church. In broken relationships, economic hardship, and loss, God used Carrie's community to bring her wholeness. She believes being a part of the church is how God is helping her leave a legacy for the younger believers who will come after her.

"I would be at work and have to leave to go sit in my car and cry. I had no peace."

Through a simple invitation from a friend, Qunita (“Q”) was able to push through her anxiety to finally step into a place of peace. Though she attended church for much of her life, Q stepped away after having kids. In 2017, she visited Elevation after being invited by a friend. But when the pandemic began, she slipped into isolation out of fear. Q felt a hunger for community and knew that God was calling her to be at church. Despite her fears, she decided to take a leap of faith and begin attending the Elevation Uptown campus.

This January, God called Q to step outside her comfort zone again and begin to volunteer. Now on the Usher team, Q is flourishing. Through serving, she's developed deep friendships and trusts the Lord in a whole new way. As a mom, she's also building a spiritual connection with her children, who love coming to church. Q's anxiety no longer controls her life. Through Christ and the support of others, she's conquering her fears, being led by the promises of God instead of the panic that once consumed her.

"Losing my dad was one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through. I hate that my kids will never meet their grandfather."

When Kandice and her husband realized they were struggling with infertility, she felt useless and broken. While she was hesitant to trust God through the pain of their inability to start a family, her father passed away. Kandice first attended Elevation in 2011, and she jumped in as a volunteer, helping launch eKidz at Ballantyne. Facing infertility prompted Kandice to create an eGroup for other women going through the same thing,

and last year, when her father passed away, she was overwhelmed by the support of her church community. While she still struggles, she is amazed at how God has used her own pain to encourage others. God is showing Kandice that He can use us all, no matter what we're going through, and that there is hope even in our darkest moments.
