All In
Larry Brey
Sermon Highlights
In Matthew 28, Jesus came, Jesus saw, and Jesus touched. Healing starts with a touch.
When it comes to a house, the owner determines the access, and Jesus won’t touch something He hasn’t been invited into.
The only thing harder than opening a door is keeping the door open.
“Holy Spirit, show me the rooms I have not let you into.”
In our faith journey, we will all come to places where following Jesus will test our “all-in.”
God has blessed you way more than what you’re bringing to Him.
Jesus is calling you from the little to the deep.
B.Y.S.S.I.W. – “Because you say so, I will.”
Jesus is always separating the crowd from the committed.
You’re healed with a touch, but you only find purpose when you get into the boat.
There were 3 types of people in the crowd: All talk, All excuses, All in.
If the boundaries of your obedience are determined by your understanding, you'll never live in the land of faith.
Healing isn’t the absence of pain, it’s the presence of purpose.
If you don't let Jesus into that room, all it will ever be is pain. But when you put it in the boat, now you can find purpose.

Sermon Discussion
Conversation Starter
Pastor Larry Brey titled his message, “all In,” and taught about being “all in” with our faith. What’s something fun in your life that you’d say you’re “all in” on right now? (i.e., a hobby, a show, a sports team)
Discussion Questions
“Healing isn’t the absence of pain, it’s the presence of purpose.” How has God used pain from your past to give you purpose in your life?
“B.Y.S.S.I.W. – ‘Because you say so, I will.’” Where is God asking you to take a step of faith right now, even though you don’t have all the details yet?
Additional Questions
“In our faith journey, we will all come to places where following Jesus will test our 'all-in. 'When has saying “yes” to Jesus, even when it was hard, led to growing in your faith?
“The only thing harder than opening a door is keeping the door open.” What disappointments have made it hard to keep trusting God, and what’s helped you keep yourself open to Him?
Prayer Prompt
Ask this question to your eGroup and include it as part of your closing prayer:
Pastor Larry Brey taught us that, “We will all come to places where following Jesus will test our ‘all-in.’”
Ask your eGroup: What’s coming up this week that you feel could test your "all-in?"
Thank God for this week’s message and the time spent in your group. Thank Him for the reminder that even when we feel we have reasons for not getting in the boat with Him, He still wants us there. Pray that as the group leaves here today, they will remember that God wants to be with them in everything they face in life, the places they’re growing, the places they need healing, and everywhere in between. Ask God to give each person the strength to just be willing to invite Jesus into each and every area of their lives.
