It Still Works
Pastor Steven Furtick
Sermon Summary
Pastor Steven showed us through the life of Moses how faith often looks like taking action even while you feel full of doubt. God can do miracles when we have the courage to look our doubt in the face and do it anyway.
Sermon Highlights
God says: I don’t need your ability — I need your availability.
Three ways to have great faith:
1. Sometimes you have to do it doubting.
Great faith is not eliminating doubt; it’s looking it in the face and telling it, “I’m doing it anyway.”
Do it doubting
2. Sometimes you have to do it delayed.
God’s sovereign plan does not always make practical sense.
God will work things out in a way that seems weird to us.
God’s lack of activity does not mean God is absent.
3. Sometimes you have to do it different.
The method changed, but the message has not.
Don’t let what doesn’t work in your life keep you from using what does.
What God gave you back then will get you through this, too.

Discussion Questions
What situation in your life do you need to have great faith for right now?
“God says: I don’t need your ability — I need your availability.” What do you feel most unqualified for, but you know God’s calling you to it?
“Great faith is not eliminating doubt; it’s looking it in the face and telling it, ‘I’m doing it anyway.’” Share about a time when you took a step of faith even though you were full of doubt.
“God’s lack of activity does not mean God is absent.” Where are you experiencing a perceived delay in your life, and how do you think God might be using it?
“It still works.” Pastor Steven reminded us that forgiveness, giving, faith, grace, and gratitude still work. Which one are you taking with you this week?
Bonus activity: Pastor Steven asked us to write this down and put it somewhere as a reminder: “My prayers aren’t pointless, even if I have no proof they have been heard.” Have your group write this down and add: "Do it anyway."
Prayer
Ask your eGroup if they have any prayer requests or praise reports they’d like to share, and include them in your closing prayer.
Pray this prayer over your eGroup to close, and/or send it to them throughout the week to let them know you’re praying for them!
Lord Jesus, we’re so grateful that You have a plan. I pray that You remind each of us this week that when You give us something to do, You put something in our hands to do it. Help us to trust Your leading, even when we’re doubting ourselves, and to have the faith to walk forward in obedience and do it anyway.
