Just A Little Bit
Joyce Meyer
Sermon Summary
Joyce Meyer shared about one of the biggest lies the enemy tells us: It’s ok to compromise just a little bit. But we learn from the Israelites’ complaint in Numbers 21 that even just a little bit of sin makes a difference, and that when God tells us to do something, it’s for our benefit.
Sermon Highlights
Everything God tells us to do or not to do is for our benefit, not His.
The biggest lie the devil tells people: “it’s just a little bit.”
We have to stop letting just a little bit of sin into our lives because a little bit matters.
God doesn’t answer complaints. He answers prayers.
There are things we do that we shouldn’t do, but we do because everyone does.
“Acceptable sins” that can trap Christians: jealousy, unforgiveness, lying, and complaining.
As soon as you become jealous of someone, you can no longer have a right relationship with them.
Three things to do to forgive someone: pray for them, speak well of them, and meet their needs.
We expect God to keep His word, and He expects us to keep ours.
How can we be a light in a dark place? Be a rare person who doesn’t complain.
God still does miracles. We just get used to them.
Scriptures:
Numbers 21:4-7 – The Israelites complain.
1 Corinthians 10:8-11 – Paul warns the church to learn from the Israelites’ sin.

Lord, we thank You for the many ways You’ve blessed us. Help us see the little miracles we’ve grown accustomed to and choose to express our gratitude when we’re tempted to complain this week. I pray that we recognize when the enemy is tempting us to compromise just a little bit, and that we’d stand firm on Your truth. Amen.
