This Is Then (God Uses Stupid)
Sermon Summary
Some things look “stupid” to the world… until God uses them to change everything. If you’ve been holding back because you need everything to make sense, this will call you to trust what God promised and practice gratitude in the hard place.
Sermon Highlights
God has already done enough for you to trust Him.
Thank God for: His presence, His provision, His protection.
I don’t need a feeling to prove His presence.
“When I get through this, then I’ll be so thankful.” The Lord says, “Switch it. When you get thankful, you’ll get through this.”
What the world calls strategic God calls stupid, and what the world calls stupid God calls strategic.
Ask God, “What would You have me to do next for You?”
You never forget the place where God makes you a promise.
God selected what man rejected.
You cannot expect the blessing of God and reject the way He sends it.
You’re anointed for the hard place. You’re anointed for the difficult thing.
You don’t need more proof to trust Him. You just need more practice.
Scriptures
Genesis 28:13-22 – Jacob’s vow
Matthew 21:42 – Jesus is the Cornerstone

Prayer Prompt
Ask your eGroup if they have any prayer requests or praise reports they’d like to share, and include them in your closing prayer.
Pray this prayer over your eGroup to close, and/or send it to them throughout the week to let them know you’re praying for them!
Lord, thank You for being present with us, for providing for us, and for protecting us. We don’t need any more proof of Your goodness — we’re saying “I’m in” and trusting you with our next steps. As we go throughout our week, please help us lean on Your promises as our foundation for trusting You. In Jesus’ Name we pray, amen.
