What Comes After
Pastor Steven Furtick
Conversation Starters
We just wrapped up this LOVE Week! Share your favorite LOVE Week moment with your group.
We started the sermon with a prayer of thanksgiving. What’s something you’re thanking God for this week?
Pastor Steven mentioned Holly’s Book Club. What’s the last book you read? If you’re not a big reader, what’s the last movie you’ve seen?
Make It Personal
How would you define “living by faith”? Leader tip: Get more people talking in your group by asking this question popcorn-style! Pick one person to answer first and have them pick the next person to go, and so on.
“There’s always persecution with progress.” Can you identify an area of your life where you seem to be meeting resistance? What are some ways you can keep making progress even when it’s difficult?
If your life was a movie and God is writing the script, identify a past scene where things looked hopeless, but God worked it out better than you expected. What can you learn from that scene to help you trust God in the future?
Read Acts 3:15 out loud. This verse starts with a traumatic event but shows us that victory comes after. Share an area of your life that doesn’t look victorious right now. What practical things can you do to keep your faith in God’s plans for your life? Leader tip: Pair the people in your eGroup up with a partner who will remember them in prayer this week.
Read Acts 3:19. In this passage, Peter tells people to repent, which means to turn away. Think about one way you can change your direction to focus more on God this week. Share with the group so you can be praying for each other throughout the week.
Re-read Acts 3:15. Where in your life have you placed a period where there should be a comma in your life? (e.g. after a failure, in the middle of a divorce, after you didn’t get the promotion.) Leader tip: Have everyone go around the room and say “But God” and begin to speak life over their circumstance. Spend time praying for the sequel God is writing over the lives of those in your eGroup.
We can’t erase past things that have harmed us, but we can make decisions today to help us experience more harmony. What’s something you can add to your weekly routine that will add more harmony, peace, or joy to your life? (e.g. listen to a positive playlist, work out, call a friend, etc.)
Do you have a favorite “But God” moment? Share it with the group.

Worship and Prayer
Father, thank You for being the author and finisher of our faith. You are such a loving God who cares about every part of our story. Help us to walk by faith and not by fear when we face challenges this week. Give us the strength to keep going in the moments when it’s hard to move forward on this faith journey. Remind us You are working all things together for our good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
