“Listen to Him, not the prison.” John the Baptist was in prison and starting to doubt. Share a time when you were isolated, and it made you start to question your faith. What can you do next time you find yourself in a place like that?
“Resistance is an indication of significance.” Think of a time in the past or recently when you faced resistance. How do you think it could be an indication of something significant God is doing in your life?
“Let go of your plan and lock onto God’s purpose.” Sometimes, it’s hard to hear God because of our expectations. Where do you think God is prompting you to let go of your plan and trust Him right now?
“It’s not that you doubt what God can do; it’s that you’re wondering why He won’t do it for you.” How can this sermon encourage you to keep trusting that God is enough, even if your situation doesn’t change?

Dear Jesus, we’re so grateful that You know the plan, and we can trust that Your plan for us is good. When life throws unexpected things our way, or we face resistance that makes us doubt if we’ve heard You, I pray that You help us not to listen to the prison. Remind us that resistance is often connected to purpose and that doubt is a door that can lead us to deeper faith. This week, even if the situation doesn’t change, we’ll choose to trust You. Amen.
