Encourage students to take notes on what stands out to them and what they want to remember.
Think It Through (and Talk It Out)
Worship doesn’t make struggles disappear, but it reminds us we’re not alone. Read Proverbs 3:5-6. How can choosing to trust God — even when you don’t feel Him — become an act of worship during hard or uncertain seasons?
Bryce said idols are things that matter more than what matters most. What are some things, even good things, that can compete for our worship and quietly take God’s place in our hearts without us noticing?
Read 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Worship is thanking God no matter what and trusting His truth over our feelings. What’s a situation this week where you could choose gratitude based on what’s true about God — even if your feelings don’t match yet?
Pray: God, thank You that even when things are tough and it’s hard to be grateful, You’re still working for our good. When life presses in and we don’t feel strong or certain, help us trust You anyway. Teach us to worship You with honesty, obedience, and trust — even in the ordinary and unseen moments. In Jesus’ name, amen.
