Join us at the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s Repack session for a fun, hands‑on opportunity to support families across Cook County by preparing food for distribution. After checking in, you’ll receive a brief orientation covering safety guidelines, hygiene requirements, and the specific tasks for your shift. In the warehouse, volunteers work together to sort bulk items, inspect and label donated products, portion food into family‑sized packages, and assemble boxes that will be delivered to community partners. You may rotate between stations such as sorting produce, repacking dry goods, checking expiration dates, or sealing and stacking completed boxes. Volunteers must be 11 years of age. Parking will be available on-site. Please contact the host with any questions.
