Do the New You

Discover the new you—the you God knew all along.

How to really embrace the true self that God is calling you to be.

Pastor Holly Furtick shares the importance of community in aligning with the version of yourself that God sees.

Intro Week

This week will introduce the idea behind Do The New You. The trap makes excuses for how you’ve always been, and the treadmill keeps you chasing after a future version of yourself. But the truth helps us realize who God says we are. The you that God says He knew.

Mindset 1: I’m Not Stuck Unless I Stop.

This mindset is all about a commitment to progress. That progress might be messy, and it might be slow, and it might require a lot of hard work. That’s okay. Just don’t give up. You’re not stuck unless you stop.

Mindset 2: Christ Is In Me. I Am Enough.

This mindset is about accepting your Self—the new you, the you God knew from the beginning, without comparing yourself to others, or wishing you were somebody else, or feeling like you have something to prove. You’ll keep growing into who God made you to be, but right now, in Jesus, you are enough.

Mindset 3: With God There’s Always A Way, And By Faith I Will Find It.

This mindset is about keeping faith in God at the forefront of all you do. This doesn’t mean God does everything for you. God opens the door, but you walk through it. And often, to find the open door, you have to knock on a lot of closed ones first. In other words, try all the options because you never know which one will work.

Mindset 4: God Is Not Against Me, But He’s In It With Me, Working Through Me, Fighting For Me.

This mindset is about reminding you just how willing and able God is to meet your needs. He’s not watching from a distance: he’s by your side in the struggle, giving you the grace and strength you need. No matter what you’re going through, you can trust him because he is here to help.

Mindset 5: My joy is my job.

This mindset is about being responsible for your emotional health. Part of doing the new you is having the freedom and ability to use your emotions in a healthy way. And that’s not up to anyone else but you.

Mindset 6: God Has Given Me Everything I Need For The Season I’m In.

This mindset is a reminder that no matter what season you are in today, you are enough and you have enough. And it’s a promise that God will provide what you need for the seasons that lie ahead.
